Events Operations Duty Manager (Temporary contract), required for a hotel in the Betchworth area. Live in accommodation can be found for this period if you are not living in the local area. You will need to have transport due to location and shifts of work if you live within 30 minutes drive of this location.
Period of work is between 4 to 8 weeks. Immediate start
As Events Operations Duty Manager, you will have held a supervisory / managerial role from within a busy Food and Beverage orientated property, ideally offering weddings and other events.
The Events Operations Duty Manager, will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the events department, to include weddings in this busy summer season. Working on a rota basis which does include week-ends. Shift work will be involved working 5 days out of 7. You will be working as part of the management team within this hotel and your role will also require you to be hands, including duty management.
About The Role as Events Operations Duty Manager:

To set up the function / conference rooms according to the weekly function sheets.

To manage events to a professional and efficient manner.

Coordinate wedding receptions, events and functions.

Ensure the hotels Health & Safety Policy and Fire Policy is adhered to at all times.

To organise inhouse training for the staff at the hotel.

To ensure high customer service skills are portrayed throughout the hotel.

Line manage a team of Food & Beverage Assistants and Supervisors.

To ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel are always monitored and kept to a high standard.

To work with and liaise with the F&B Manager and the Hotel & Operations Managers.
About You for the role of Events Operations Duty Manager:

Enjoy working and dealing with the public and being part of a team.

Confident, pleasant and an excellent articulate communicator; able to stay calm under pressure and remain courteous when dealing with difficult situations.

People management experience is essential.

Experience running service on weddings, events or parties is desirable.

Must be efficient, organised and self motivated.

Have a good personal standard projecting a professional image at all times.
The salary for this temporary Events Operations Manager, is given as £15 – 18 / hr. Live in accommodation can be found. TRANSPORT WILL BE REQUIRED DUE TO LOCATION AND SHIFTS PLEASE.
