Our client, a respected manufacturing company near Hyde, is seeking a professional like you to join their team. The main purpose of this role is to stay informed about and update management on evolving legislation concerning all Health & Safety matters affecting the business.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop Health & Safety manuals for departments, including risk assessments and improved working methods.
- Regularly update risk assessments and COSHH assessments as per regulations.
- Conduct PUWER assessments on site equipment according to PUWER Regulations 1998.
- Report and investigate accidents, maintaining records and proposing improved working methods.
- Submit RIDDOR reports to HSE and provide information to insurers as needed.
- Ensure proper staffing and supplies for the first aid team and maintain confidential records.
- Maintain efficiency of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems, with records available for inspection.
- Manage stock of PPE and ensure distribution when required.
- Maintain firefighting equipment and coordinate with Fire Authority on updates.
- Conduct statutory evacuation drills, maintain documentation for inspection.
Essential Criteria:
- Good knowledge of all current Health and Safety regulations.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or higher.
- Experience working within the manufacturing industry
