We are working with an SME specialist Housing Association who fulfil a valuable role in society; they have recently undergone a significant review of their structure and business and have now reached an exciting period of growth and expansion. This has led to an opening for a Senior Finance Manager who will lead a small team to oversee the delivery of the financial returns, performance statements and forecasts, rent charges and maintain strong financial controls. You will be ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with a grounding in Practice/Audit and experience within the housing sector
Core duties include:

Oversee all day-to-day finance activities with direct line management over a small finance team

Review monthly management accounts and prepare the draft Board paper for the Finance Director

Lead the annual audit process, working closely with Auditors

Review and finalise various periodic reports for landlords and present these to the Finance Director

Work closely with the Head of Assets to control the maintenance budget

Support the Management Accountant to maintain the 30-year Business Plan and review the annual Budget, reconciling parameters to the Housing Management system and management accounts

Prepare the annual service charge reconciliations for all properties

Review all supplier payment runs

Manage utility supply contract renewals

Ensure good cash flow and treasury management

Support the Finance Director and other colleagues in the organisation with ad-hoc requests for financial analysis, modelling and regulatory reporting
The Requirement:

Chartered accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in accountancy practice/external audit

Minimum 3 years’ experience in social housing sector

Experience of implementing and managing finance processes

Experience of organisational mergers and system migrations

Strong analytical skills

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
