Our Oil & Gas operator in Aberdeen is looking for a Commercial & Business Development Advisor to join them on a part time basis.

Location: Holburn Street, Aberdeen/hybrid style working
Duration: 12 month ongoing contract
Rate: Negotiable inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available
Hours: 3 days per week
Job Profile Summary
The Commercial & Business Development Advisor is responsible for providing commercial advice and support for a range of operated assets and new business opportunities for the company. Working autonomously, the post holder will strive to create and fundamental in enabling change and continual improvement across our business.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Negotiate, advise on, and manage the full lifecycle of commercial agreements across the Oil and Gas value chain. This includes Joint Operating Agreements, Unitization and Unit Operating Agreements, Third-party agreements (Construction & Tie-in, Transportation, Processing & Operating), Sale and Purchase Agreements, asset swaps, farm-ins/outs, Business Development activities, Export Agreements, and other Operational contracts (CAs, Proximity Agreements, Product Sales Agreements)
Manage relationships with infrastructure owners, third-party field owners, potential business partners, regulators, and industry bodies
Identify and capture new business opportunities aligned with asset strategies, including third-party tieback options
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Interface with senior staff and EMT, providing insightful proposals and timely status updates to inform decision making and business progress
Engage other partner teams on the terms of new commercial agreements, ensuring controls are in place for accurate reflection of obligations and compliance
Support internal planning processes by advising on key commercial and contractual matters impacting future plans and forecasts
Collaborate effectively across the organization, fostering knowledge sharing and applying lessons learned for continuous improvement
Ensure timely fulfilment of commercial obligations for Repsol Resources UK and third parties, adhering to contractual terms
Negotiate new commercial agreements with appropriate support and adherence to industry best practices
Identify, pursue, and negotiate new business development opportunities, expanding the companies commercial footprint
Provide the commercial expertise and services required to support and deliver asset strategies and continuous improvement across the business
Stay informed of the energy transition, considering future implications for value creation and commercial models
Professional Skills and Experiences
Excellent UK sector industry knowledge
Experience of negotiating relevant industry contracts and agreements
Experience in dispute management and resolution
Experience of conducting economic evaluations of existing and new opportunities
Good knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
