As a Service Engineer, you'll have the chance to work directly with customers, ensuring their equipment is operating efficiently and effectively.
Role: Service Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (weekends and overtime may be required)
Location: Dartford
Key Responsibilities:
Install and Service: Install and service our packaging equipment at customer sites.
Customer Interaction: Maintain excellent communication with customers, providing support and solutions as needed.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while on-site.
Survey and Service: Perform surveys and regular maintenance on customer equipment.
Efficiency Improvements: Suggest and implement solutions to improve equipment efficiency.
Factory Assistance: When not on customer sites, assist in the manufacturing of our equipment at our factory.
Travel: Be willing to travel across the UK and globally, occasionally staying away from home for more than a week.
Requirements:
Mechanical and Electrical Knowledge: Strong mechanical knowledge and basic understanding of electrical fault-finding principles.
Fault Finding and PLC Understanding: Proficient in fault finding and have a basic understanding of PLCs.
Reporting: Report directly to the Service Manager.
Teamwork and Independence: Capable of working as part of a team and independently.
Idea Generation: Provide innovative ideas to improve our equipment.
Customer Relations: Create and maintain positive relationships with customers.
Ideal Candidate Will Be/Have:
Experience: Previous experience as a Service Engineer.
Mechanical Knowledge: Strong mechanical understanding.
Electrical Fault-Finding: Basic knowledge of electrical fault-finding principles.
Willingness to Travel: Willing to travel and stay away from home as required.
Under Pressure: Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Driving Licence: Clean driving licence.
Customer Relations: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Organization: Highly organized and able to manage time effectively.
Flexibility: Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when needed.
Pneumatics Knowledge: Basic understanding of pneumatics.
