Our client is a world-leading manufacturer of electronic security equipment for use in residential, commercial, and industrial applications in the intruder alarm market. They design a wide range of multi-award-winning wired and wireless intruder alarm solutions, utilising market-leading technologies developed exclusively by their in-house R&D team.
You will be working as part of a highly focused Finance team which supports all aspects of the company’s operations. This is a varied role but will predominantly focus on financial control and reporting information for manufacturing and sales, together with broader Operations and overhead control.
Are you the right person for the job?
You will ideally be on a learning path towards CIMA qualification (continuing support available) but will have already gained experience working with financial management systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
An understanding of Payroll systems, advanced Excel and working with SAP, whilst not essential, would be attractive to us. Your excellent interpersonal ability, together with your attention to detail is key, as working to deadlines and resolving queries is an important aspect of the role.

What will your role look like?
Working with generally accepted financial and payroll principles to ensure the accuracy of the management information and the payroll, the key accountabilities will include
Fixed Assets register maintenance.
General ledger financial journals for month end accounts preparation
Monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
Preparation and running of month-end cost absorption into stock.
Monthly & Adhoc reporting for manufacture i.e.: Stock levels / WIP / Labour efficiency
Maintenance of customer pricing
Maintenance of master data files, used by AP team and GL team, for preparation of monthly accounts
VAT returns
Annual stock take
Overseeing the Monthly Tax analysis
Payroll processing to monthly deadlines including SAP journal creation
Assist in the maintenance of the payroll and T&A system
Liaising with staff and management to resolve payroll queries
Service Income analysis and query resolution
Assisting the production of, and audit of, the annual accounts
Overseeing the Foreign Currency, Petty Cash and Bank accounts
Overseeing and providing cover for expenses processing
