Our client, a independent business providing accounting services seek an experienced candidate with experience in either a firm of accountants or contractor accounting to join the team

overall duties include:
To assist with the bookkeeping which includes the posting of sales income and expenditure from various software sources.
Bank reconciliations which may also include different factoring or invoice discount accounts.
Assist in reconciling key control accounts, such as PAYE, pension and net wages and to increase the frequency with which these take place.
To identify and communicate anomalies on the sales and purchase ledgers and ensure these are adjusted in a timely manner.
During busy periods, assisting the team with other duties such as payroll and timesheet portal duties.
To liaise with all clients in an efficient and professional manner at all times, proactively informing clients of key deadlines and liabilities when they fall due.
To build and maintain excellent relationships with all clients.
Experience required
Accountancy practice experience is preferred, although not essential. End-to-end knowledge or accreditation of Xero is desired from a software perspective.

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills and attributes:
Competent in using all Microsoft Office applications
Able to work well under pressure both alone and in a team environment
Able to communicate effectively and with a high standard of professionalism and integrity with all required individuals and organisations including directors, managers, colleagues, clients, prospective clients, HM Revenue & Customs, Companies House and suppliers
Able to manage own work and prioritise as necessary
