Business Development Manager – UK & Europe (Automotive Aftermarket)

Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 + Car Allowance, Pension, Life Cover, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays.

Hours of work 08:00 to 17.00 Mon to Friday with 1 hour lunch.
Role Purpose:
-
Responsible for the development of new and existing business in line with the Groups Strategic Goals, to improve the organisation’s market position and achieve financial growth. Identify new customer channels or product lines to support business growth.

Responsible for the coaching and mentoring junior members of the sales team.
Role Duties
-
Generate sales in line with the aims and objectives of the company’s business plan. Negotiate business opportunities and contracts with new and existing customers.

Research and identify potential / new clients.

Ensure successful and timely delivery of products/services to customers according to their requirements. Manage customer enquiries/complaints and conflicts efficiently and effectively.

Prepare reports of sales metrics over a specified period – monthly, quarterly, and yearly. Write proposals and business plans for securing business opportunities.

Develop strategies for profit growth. Assist in developing company’s marketing strategy, and also ensure its execution.

Hold regular sales development meetings to help progress the offer in line with budget expectations.

Ensure the highest levels of professionalism and integrity are employed at all times. Provide open and transparent feedback (internally and externally).

Work in line with the requirements of the Business Plan, as directed by the line manager.
Candidate Specification
-
Several years proven experience in a similar role.

Holds or willing to work towards HNC/Degree in Sales & Marketing or equivalent.

Technical awareness and knowledge of Automotive/Automotive Aftermarket products.

Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).

Proven experience to work as part of a Senior Management team.

Knowledge of QHSE Legislation.

Excellent detail to methodical problem-solving.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.

Willingness to travel within the UK and Overseas.

Strong negotiating skills
