Small Fleet Manager - Telecoms.

£25,000-£30,000 + Company Vehicle + Benefits.
What does the role entail?
The Fleet Manager oversees all vehicle and plant activity within the organisation.
To successfully co-ordinate the maintenance of all vehicles whilst consciences of business-as-usual operations to maximise safety and productivity.
Based in the northeast working from the Company Head office in Alnwick, Northumberland where quality and safety are paramount, you will play a vital role in helpingthe business to deliver Ultra-fast full fibre internet to rural Northumberland and county Durham.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that all transport and vehicle use legislation is complied with.
- Manage all car and van allocation.
- Develop and implement a vehicle maintenance schedule ensuring MOT’s and
regular servicing are conducted whilst minimising operational impact.
- Monitoring, administrating and undertaking compliance audits, random and
planned, in accordance with the policies, objectives and guidelines
determined by the company directors.
- Oversee the vehicle maintenance workshop and all its facilities.
- Ensuring that all drivers carry out their driving duties responsibly, safely and
legally.
- Creating and maintaining a comprehensive database of road traffic incidents
and vehicle damage reports.
- Embracing a culture of change by being open, flexible and adaptable in
responding to a continually changing environment.
- Sourcing vehicles and managing service accounts.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with company standards.
- Continue to improve process and procedures to optimise fleet efficiency.
- Checking and maintaining records of drivers liciences and driver training
requirements.
- Advising and educating drivers and supervisors on their legal responsibilities
to perform daily checks.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance of vehicle maintenance, driver defect
reporting and drivers records.
- To provide regular compliance and service reports to Senior Management.
- Maintaining effective communications with staff and internal and external
customers.
- Managing expectations of all stakeholders through effective communication.
- Proactively identifying and implementing new innovative means of deliverying
services which includes ways of funding these.
- Carrying out any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post, and
as requested by Director level.

Have full, clean drivers icence.
Full clean driving licence held for a minimum of two years.
