Hours:36 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Salary Band 3 - £30,342.31
Citizens Advice Milton Keynes is a local charity that helps people to resolve their legal, money and personal problems. We have been providing free, confidential, and impartial advice since 1972 and helped over 8000 local people last year.
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our Senior Management Team and oversee the core elements of our volunteering programme, and our Learning and Development strategy, as well as deliver in-house training, and provide first-line support to staff, trustees, and volunteers on our major operational systems.
This is a challenging role with a high level of accountability. Reporting to our Director, you will manage a demanding and varied workload , supporting staff and volunteers at every stage of their personal and professional development. The ideal candidate will have:

A strong foundation knowledge of our various advice areas (competence in these subjects is desirable, but full and ongoing training will be provided).

Excellent computer literacy (training on our local systems will be given).

Confidence in working to performance targets.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for providing exceptional customer service with a non-judgemental approach.

The ability to work independently, sometimes remotely, and from various community-based locations.

Applicants need to:

Have some experience in training and development roles.

Be skilled in volunteer management, including recruitment, welfare, and disciplinary actions.

Be capable of drafting and implementing strategic plans.

Possess strong IT skills with the ability to coach others on key systems.

Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
A minimum of 12 months’ experience in an advice agency or similar setting is desirable.

The successful Applicant/s will be asked to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
