Job duties of the Business Development Manager are to:
- Develop new business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients.
- Self-generate leads and appointments through various channels, including suppliers, referrals, social media, and cold calling.
- Offer a consultative service to new customers and present company products, services and commercial offers effectively.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure new business deals.
- Look after and grow new accounts until hand over to Account Manager.
Skills and experience required for the Business Development Manager are:
• Able to demonstrate good consultative selling skills techniques.
• Be able to sell systems-based solutions and ability to learn an extensive product range.
• Good presentation, networking and negotiating skills.
• Able to build relationships at all levels.
• Self-starter, proactive, tenacious and results focused.
• Minimum three years of field sales experience and good track record in a similar role.
