We are recruiting for a progressive & dynamic building services company formed in 1990. The company have a large network of directly employed multi-skilled engineers located throughout the UK. This enables the business to offer their clients a fast and reliable service which is moulded to their individual requirements.
An opportunity has arisen for a Small Works Electrician to work for this Nationwide provider of commercial facilities management and building services. This role requires working away (Mon - Friday) depending on business needs, however there's no on call requirement and all accommodation is paid for.
Duties Include:

To assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, fire alarms, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools, power tools and test equipment.

To diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem attempting in all instances to provide a first visit fix.

To attend all reactive works within your specified region, meeting SLA targets (if applicable)

To attend all planned works to test or maintain electrical equipment/installations.

To work safely from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

To attend all sites requested to you by the Company within the agreed time frames.

To be flexible with start and finish times, carrying out works with minimum disturbance to clients and their trading (if applicable)

To work outside of normal hours both weekends and nights

To complete all work to the best of your ability and ensure all work is carried in accordance with the current IEE wiring regulations standards.

To competently test sites for electrical compliance in accordance with IEE regulations

To complete and return all paperwork to the office in the agreed time scales using the relevant resources e.g., tablet.

To carry out general maintenance works as required by the Client/Company

To provide support to team members and provide technical advice when needed.

To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by your manager/supervisor.

To be aware of the budgetary and commercial implications of the work
Experience and qualifications required include:

NVQ Lvl3 (Fully Qualified)

Driving Licence (Full UK)
-
Minimum 3 years on site experience working on electrical installations.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings in relation to electrical installation projects.

C&G 2382 (18th Edition wiring regulations)
-
Able to test own electrical installation works.
-
Working with electronic devices such as android tablets to communicate via E-mail.

Willing and able to travel when required
-
Flexible with start and finish times to meet the needs of the client.

Able to work weekends and nights when required
-
DBS check required, clear to work within care homes and high security sites.
