SALARY Up to £45,000 per annum (pro rata)

FUNDING & CONTRACTS OFFICER - ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a new role that has been created to join the Finance team, within the organisation. You will assist with negotiating fees/financial packages for onboarding, annual uplifts, and/or requested reviews/changes in needs. We offer and promote a home/work life balance with this role working both on-site and from home.
FUNDING & CONTRACTS OFFICER - RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

Support the Residential Service Managers during the on-boarding process. focusing on the financial package.

Initiating and assisting the Registered Service Managers with regular financial reviews of resident’s packages.

Input into the annual budgeting process

Liaising and negotiating annual fee uplifts with various funders (NHS and local authorities)

Liaise with Managers and initiate fee reviews where a resident’s needs change.

Working as part of the Finance team including assisting with credit control

Develop relationships/strong rapport with funders, understand their structure, creating and maintaining a database of contacts for each.

Working closely with the Head of Finance to understand and report costings for each residential unit and for each resident.

Ensure the maintenance of essential documentation.

Review costings for all new financial packages

Instigate financial reviews to resolve shortfall in fees.

Be an active member of the Finance Committee

Liaise with residents, their families/appointees, trustees, funders, staff and all other parties on behalf of The Meath
FUNDING & CONTRACTS OFFICER - EXPERIENCE:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the residents, families, trustees, funders, staff and all other parties on behalf of The Meath.

Knowledge and experience using all Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.

You will be competent in commercial decision making.

Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism

Previous knowledge and experience within the care sector an advantage, but not essential.

To have an understanding of CareCubed is an advantage, but not essential

Previous experience as a Funding & Contract Officer or similar role within a Residential Care Home or Healthcare organisation would be desirable.
