Our client, operating within the dynamic aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Customer Account Manager to join their team. This permanent role is based onsite full-time and involves ensuring robust customer relations while managing aerospace programmes or work packages.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote a safe workplace environment adhering to all Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
Ensure accurate and timely clockings (time and attendance) and bookings (job costings).
Maintain clean workstations with correctly stored tools and equipment.
Comply with all Quality standards, processes and procedures.
Support cost reduction and management initiatives.
Keep knowledge and training up to date to achieve role specifications and standards.
Participate in team meetings and mentor trainees where required.
Essential Responsibilities:
Primary customer interface for business, technical, and quality issues for specified programmes.
Liaise between the customer and internal Commercial Team for RFQ/RFP responses.
Review contracts/PO to ensure alignment with quotations/proposals.
Manage orderbook with the customer, providing updated delivery forecasts.
Optimise delivery performance, reduce costs, and increase revenue.
Support regular Programme meetings and Portfolio reviews.
Communicate programme direction, identify issues, and mitigate risks.
Adopt PMO disciplines in projects across the business.
Outward Facing to Customer:
Ensure timely issue resolution and maintain customer communication.
Develop positive customer relationships.
Support the development of existing and new business practices.
Be visible and available to develop contacts and network.
Host customer calls, onsite visits, and milestone reviews.
Inward Facing to the Organisation:
Conduct monthly programme reviews with the Portfolio Leader.
Provide programme direction to department functions.
Contribute to site metrics and review meetings.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Experience in Program/Project Management with a technical background.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to analyse and resolve problems effectively.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated capability to lead programmes/projects.
Competence in documenting, planning, and executing programmes.
