Elevation Recruitment Group are searching for a Buyer to join a Wholesale business based in Huddersfield. This role will require you to manage supplier relationships, foster strong internal and external partnerships, and balance business and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet Supply Chain KPIs
Address and resolve stock shortages and availability issues
Stay informed about market trends and quickly respond to changes in demand
Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders
Oversee supplier relationships and conduct quarterly business reviews
Place and manage outgoing purchase orders
Maintain supplier open order books
Understand supplier capabilities, capacities, and priorities, and develop contingency plans when necessary
Conduct supplier analysis, reporting, and forecasting
Negotiate pricing, rebates, and payment terms
Track and facilitate supplier rebates
Maintain purchasing contracts and agreements
Promptly respond to internal stock requests
Maintain delivery cost records
Manage master data, such as commodity codes and country of origin
Skills & Qualifications Required:
Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills
Excellent internal and external communication skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions
Respect for relationships with manufacturers, customers, and colleagues
