As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding market presence. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and developing comprehensive plans to achieve their business objectives. Your expertise will help them navigate the competitive utilities market and solidify their position as an industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and Pursue Opportunities: Research and analyse market trends to identify potential business opportunities. Develop and execute strategies to capture new markets and expand our customer base.
Build and Maintain Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers. Leverage these relationships to enhance business growth and brand recognition.
Develop Strategic Plans: Create and implement business development plans that align with our corporate goals. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these plans, making adjustments as needed.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure cohesive and effective business strategies.
Negotiate and Close Deals: Lead negotiations with potential clients and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Close deals that align with our strategic objectives and financial targets.
Monitor Market Conditions: Stay informed about industry developments, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes. Use this knowledge to adapt and optimize business strategies.Qualifications:
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the utilities or energy sector.
Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive business plans.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
