Deputy General Catering Manager, NN12 Northamptonshire £40k
Working within a busy environment, the catering department provides a high volume staff restaurant with a breakfast, lunch and evening service, all day grazing, grab & go as well as high profile hospitality and events.
As the Deputy General Catering Manager, you will be
- working alongside the General Manager to drive the business forward and work with the team to grow the catering operation
- motivating, leading and developing your team to provide the highest standard of customer service
- maintaining client expectations as well as aiming to exceed these
- liaise with the Head Chef on menus and dishes
- supporting all areas in a hands on capacity when needed - this will include the kitchen
Working hours are 5/7, approx. 45 hours per week.
As an ideal candidate, you will be
- at Deputy General Catering Manager or Chef Manager level with a proven career background in catering
- experienced in a high volume site
- ideally craft trained and able to step in and manage the kitchen when needed
- able to cater for high profile hospitality and events
- attentive to detail and presentation
- able to manage, train and lead a team as well as work as a team player
- financially aware and able to manage costs and budget
- passionate about customer service ensuring client expectations are exceeded
- flexible and willing with a positive, can do attitude
- energetic with enthusiasm and a genuine passion for the industry
