Progress Teachers are currently supporting a mainstream Northamptonshire secondary school to appoint a dynamic and dedicated Cover Supervisor for a full-time permanent role from September 2024.
The successful candidate will provide impactful lesson cover across a range of subject areas on a daily basis, as required. For this reason, prior experience within an educational setting is highly advantageous, however, candidates with transferrable skills from other sectors will also be considered for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Supervision: Effectively manage classrooms in the absence teachers, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment.

Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to students, maintaining the continuity of learning and following school policies.

Behaviour Management: Implement the school's behaviour management policies to promote a safe and respectful atmosphere for students.

Supportive Role: Offer support to individual students or small groups as needed, ensuring that the learning objectives are met.

Communication: Maintain clear communication with teaching staff regarding student progress, behaviour, and any issues that may arise during the day.

Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and reporting any incidents or concerns to the appropriate staff members.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Education or a subject-specific field is advantageous.

Previous experience working in an educational setting is highly desirable.
