Casualty Claims Handler
Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (hybrid working available)

Up to £32,000 DOE + annual bonus
MPJ Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading insurance business based in the Tamworth area, we are looking for experienced Casualty claims handlers with 12+ months experience working in a similar role preferably doing cradle to grave (beginning to end).
Casualty Claims Handler Key Responsibilities:
- You will be a senior casualty claims handler dedicated to managing a portfolio of public and employers’ liability claims for local government clients.
- You will be responsible for handling these claims from first notification to settlement and will be making decisions on liability, fraud and quantum.
- You will also oversee these cases through litigation.
- You will be required to liaise with a variety of stakeholders including clients, brokers, suppliers, claimants and their representatives using multiple means of communication such as phone, email, video conferencing etc.
The Ideal candidate:
- A good understanding of proactive claims handling
- A good understanding of insurance principles.
- Experience of handling public and employers’ liability claims up to a value of £25,000 without referral.
- Confident in progressing to handling claims exceeding £25,000 under authority.
- Working knowledge and experience of handling MOJ Portal Claims.
- Excellent customer service.
- Good attention to detail.
- Experience in handling larger losses and failure to remove and/or police claims would be preferable.
