We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our clients Finance team, based in Brighton on a permanent basis and would love you to start as soon as possible.

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the Finance team, based in Brighton on a permanent basis.
This back-office role is full time, with a salary of £(phone number removed) per annum depending on experience, and the potential to complete AAT qualification.
Although this is advertised as a full-time vacancy, we are happy to be flexible and would consider anyone who needs to work around caring responsibilities etc.
Responsibilities
Maintaining the purchase ledger including processing invoices onto our bookkeeping software, reconciling supplier accounts and creating payment runs
Maintaining the sales ledger including allocating sales receipts to the correct invoices and reconciling the Fees at month end
Bookkeeping including bank reconciliations
Preparation of monthly management accounts and assist with month end reporting
Drafting VAT Returns
Liaising with internal managers, partners, suppliers and Head of Finance
Other ad-hoc tasks
About you
Our ideal candidate for this role will:
Have good attention to detail
Be comfortable with IT including Excel. Training will be given on our bookkeeping and accounting software.
Have the ability to prioritise
Good organisation skills
Good communication skills
Previous accounts experience is desirable
