Key Responsibilities – Service Technician
Carry out routine maintenance and servicing checks and repairs in line with the requirements of the manufacturer
Run fault diagnostics on engine, transmission, brakes, air conditioning, security features, fuel systems etc.
Carry out repair / service operations to engine units, drive trains, suspension components, brakes, air conditioning systems, electrical, emissions systems and all interior trim components etc.
Carry out electronic vehicle health checks
Communicate directly with customers to identify / understand concerns with vehicle running performance and to advise about technical issues
Road test vehicles on completion of repair / service work, also accompanying customers for demonstration of vehicle concerns or faults
Receive ongoing manufacturer training, both in-house and external training centres
Comply with company and manufacturer disciplines and procedures
Support others around the business by performing to the best of your ability

Qualifications & Requirements –Service Technician
Qualified & experienced Vehicle Technician - NVQ Level 3, or equivalent (essential)
Full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points
A desire to provide exceptional customer experiences
Computer literate and can easily learn new systems
Is positive, punctual, hardworking, flexible and driven
Has main dealer experience
Possesses technical knowledge of a range of vehicle makes and models
Is literate and numerate, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues alike
Can follow instructions and work alone without supervision
Demonstrates a strong customer focus and takes pride in delivering a high-quality experience that is second-to-none
Is well-presented and able to engage and build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
Will be honest with high levels of integrity
Can work quickly, while maintaining quality assurance in order to maximise workshop capacity
Thrives and remains calm under pressure, whilst meeting deadlines
