We seek a People Advisor to join the UK’s largest leisure operator and charitable social enterprise. We manage over 400 facilities across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, including public sports and leisure centres, elite sporting venues, libraries, and children’s centres.
People Advisor role summary:

To provide comprehensive HR advice and support to managers and employees (mainly within their geographical Region) in line with the organisation’s policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

The job holder will be responsible for recruitment and retention activities, L&D administration as well as advising managers on casework where necessary, and building excellent working relationships with stakeholders.

The role additionally supports the HRBP in the administrative management of Employment Tribunals and the delivery of the corporate and local HR Strategy and objectives, through project work.

As an HR advisor you will become familiar with the operations of the regions and key performance indicators (KPI) and work with the people partners and the wide people team
People Advisor focus:

To support the co-creation and delivery of the planned initiatives of the prioritised people plan which supports the region's business strategy

To ensure Interventions and initiatives which will include induction and embedding the company values and behaviours, communication, engagement, people development, and feedback.

Support the People Business Partners, Head of People, and regional directors and teams ensuring an engaged and committed workforce that delivers business needs.

To help assess the further workforce needs/planning of the regions (short, medium, and long term) and ensure these are met

Support the identification and development of interview career pathways, promote succession planning and talent development, and improve the retention of staff.

To help coach/ guide managers on all aspects of company policies and procedures

Support People management culture and empower managers to make decisions and enhance their skills

Advise as and when required to difficult employee relation cases to ensure risk is minimised for the organisation.

Support change management initiatives and will be supporting the management of employment tribunals.
Requirements for the perfect People Advisor:

Level 5 CIPD qualification.

Demonstrable experience in an HR Generalist/Advisory role capacity (2 years +)

Experience using HR systems

IT proficient with excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office

Ability to multi-task and prioritise accordingly, plan well, and meet deadlines
-
Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Multi-site organisational experience

Experience with Trade Unions
-
Experience in HR analytics including analysing and benchmarking data.
