We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our already successful kitchen and work shoulder to shoulder with our team and reporting to our Head Chef.
As Sous Chef, you will be working with a menu that is packed full of flavour and seasonality, showcasing a diverse balance of classic dishes with a European twist.
Within the kitchen, you will be motivating a driven and motivated kitchen brigade. You will support the successful delivery of a freshly prepared menu, available 5 days a week including daily specials, functions & Sunday roasts. You will aid the Head Chef with menu development, H&S management and team training.
Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation

Oversee and participate in cooking and presentation of dishes

Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen cleanliness

Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills

Collaborate with the team to create innovative dishes

Manage inventory and control food costs effectively
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Sous Chef role or similar within the culinary industry
- Level 1 & 2 Food Safety
- Awareness of manual handling techniques
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with fresh produce
- Strong attention to detail and excellent standards in food preparation and presentation
- Good organisation & communication with every team member
- Understanding of budgets & GPs
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
