I am working with a Housing Client in the Liverpool region who are looking to recruit a Fire Risk Assessment Manager. In this pivotal role, you will steer the strategic direction and deliver an exceptional national in-house fire risk assessment service to domestic social housing and care properties. Managing a team of 10, you will ensure all fire risk assessments are completed to the highest standards, in compliance with the Fire Safety Order. Your collaboration with key managers will be crucial to maintaining high-quality, validated assessments and adherence to current fire legislation.
This role is ideal for a proactive leader with substantial experience in managing fire risk assessments within residential and care settings. You should have a deep understanding of fire safety regulations, strong people management skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a national team of fire risk assessors.

Develop Key relationships with regulators, enforcement authorities and primary authority partnerships mitigating improvement and enforcements actions.

Investigate fire incidents and implement recommendations for improvement.

Develop and implement fire safety policies and management plans.

Ensure all fire risk assessments meet legal standards and best practices.

Collaborate with Building Safety Managers to ensure safe building occupancy.

Investigate incidents, accidents and complaints working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure investigations are brought to an effective and timely conclusion.
Experience Required:

Experience managing a team previously.

Experience in managing in house inspection teams and external suppliers.

To have worked in the social housing / council / local authority sector

To have worked as fire risk assessor for a minimum of 5 years

To hold a relevant qualification to the role.
