The Role:
Promote technical food safety and health and safety throughout the business.
Responsible for the maintenance of the Quality Management system.
Responsible for maintenance of health and safety systems and adherence of sites to required practices and legislation
Co-ordination of both internal and external audits, establishing corrective action in a timely manner and providing feedback and commentary to management.
Managing supplier approval and performance
Managing specifications and monitoring product safety and quality.
Managing Hygiene Teams
Ensuring that training is completed for all staff at site in line with food safety and health and safety requirements.
Monitoring of KPIs and reporting of this information to management on a monthly basis at a minimum.
Management of the hygiene standards to ensure standards throughout the business are maintained throughout. Ideal Candidate:
Food related degree or qualification minimum level 3 Food Safety
HACCP qualification minimum level 3
Internal audit qualification
Experience as an internal auditor
Experience of BRC and 3rd party audits
Health and Safety experience
Computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
Exceptional organisational skills
Able to work calmly and efficiently under strict time constraints
Ability to communicate clearly at all levels Working hours Mon-Fri from 7am/3pm
