Do you have strong costing experience within manufacturing? Our client are looking to hire a Costing Assistant to work as part of their supportive finance team
The Company
Seymour John are delighted to support this established and ambitious company with their recruitment of a Costing Assistant.
The Opportunity
Working closely with your colleagues in finance and key stakeholders across the broader business; your key areas of responsibility will include:

Production direct and variable costs

Prepare and enter the necessary monthly management account journals

Reconciliation of allocated balance sheet accounts

Reconciliation of gross margin between the general ledger and system reports

Review and report on stock valuation and provisions
-
Monthly variance analysis – gross margin, direct labour, materials
-
Costing for new products and amendments to existing products
-
Ensure complete and full accuracy of BOM’s and standard costs.

Review PPV analysis.

Year end audit work
Personal Profile
We are keen to speak to those individuals who hold at least an AAT qualification and process a strong understanding of costings techniques alongside variance analysis within the manufacturing sector. You will be responsible for the costing and controlling activities for the business working closely with key stakeholders and will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and costing knowledge.
Hours
8.30am-5.00pm – Home working at the managers discretion
