The Agriculture and Rural Property team addresses the diverse and often complex property issues faced by farmers and landowners, impacting both their businesses and families. Our team of agricultural law specialists provides comprehensive legal services, advising on business management, family affairs, succession planning, and other related country issues, all while navigating the sector's increasing regulations.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our expanding Agriculture and Rural Property Team in our Salisbury office. The ideal candidate will have a background in legal secretarial work, preferably within property teams.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Agriculture and Rural Property team.
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence.
Manage and maintain filing systems, ensuring all records are accurately stored and easily retrievable.
Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and post.
Client Interaction:
Serve as a point of contact for clients, managing inquiries and providing updates as necessary.
Ensure the highest standards of client service are maintained at all times.
Organisational Tasks:
Organise and manage diaries, scheduling meetings and appointments efficiently.
Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as required.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth running of the department.
Assist with the on boarding of new clients and the management of existing client relationships.
Key Skills and Attributes:
Experience:
Previous legal secretarial experience is essential, ideally within property law.
Organisational Skills:
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to handle a high volume of work efficiently.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Technical Proficiency:
