The Planet Group have recently been engaged by a market leading Aerospace company who are looking to secure a Project Manager on an initial 6-month contract.
The position requires close collaboration with the Program Management & Support Team in the EMEA region to ensure the highest standards of customer service, as well as all matrix organisations including Product Line Managers, Sales, Implementation & Engineering, Finance, Customer Success Managers, Legal and Contracts for the successful delivery of the projects.
Responsibilities:

Accountability and ownership of the assigned projects to determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for team members required for individual projects or initiatives.

Develop and implement detailed Project Plans and project documentation as required for each project.

Apply project management skills and techniques, e.g. team leading, multi-tasking, risk management, project planning, project reporting, change management and project costs controls to deliver high quality projects within agreed scope and budget.

Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all project team members are actively working toward contractual milestones.

Provide input for costing and resource estimates to the Bids and Proposals team.

Maintain project documentation in accordance with organisational ISO standards.

Hold and participate in regular business stakeholder meetings and update on project status to both internal management and customers.

Coordinate with and agree project resources with the team managers for the delivery of services and projects.

Close collaboration and alignment with your peers in the Americas and Asia Pacific regions.

Identify critical issues or gaps in the service offering that could impede the continued success/growth and implement plans to fix them.

Support industry activities such as trade shows, conferences, training and public relations.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
-
Proven working experience as a Project Manager with demonstrable understanding of Project Management processes, principles and methods.

Ability to cultivate, influence and manage relationships with clients, suppliers/vendors and internal stakeholders.

Experienced in the delivery of technical projects (IT/Software development/Infrastructure/Cloud) would be an advantage.

Excellent written and verbal communicator at all levels.

PMP / PRINCE2 practitioner certification is desirable.

A strong organiser with attention to detail who is able to multitask.
