Registered Manager – New Children’s Home
Northampton
Up to £60k + bonus
I am looking for an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to for a new children’s home opening shortly in Northampton. This new service will provide a nurturing environment for three children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
In this role you will:
- Register the provision with Ofsted
- Serve as the Ofsted Registered Manager, ensuring the home fully complies with legislative and regulatory requirements
- Recruit and develop a successful staff team
- Foster effective collaboration with children and young people, their families, local authorities, and all internal and partner agencies
- Oversee all aspects of the home's daily operations
- Provide outstanding care for children and young people in a residential setting
To be successful in the role of Registered Manager you must
- Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Health and Social Care Management and Leadership qualification in children's residential care
- Have previously held Ofsted registration as a Registered Manager
- Have knowledge and experience in Children's Act, Ofsted regulations, staff management, compliance and safeguarding, Reg 44s and Ofsted inspections
- Have experience of therapeutic practice
- Understand how to effectively engage in the referral and matching process
- Experience with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
- At least 2 years of recent experience working within a residential children’s setting (within the last 5 years)
- Ideally possess a valid driver's license
