We are working in partnership with a highly respected construction group who are looking for an Assistant QS in Cardiff.
You will play a pivotal role in an exciting high-profile project. Main duties will include:
Assist in developing and implementing a purchasing strategy for the project.
Challenge, enhance and standardise existing procurement practices.
Take responsibility for placing site purchase orders.
Procure suppliers, including negotiating and agreeing contract terms and conditions.
Cultivate good working relationships with suppliers
Carry out regular meetings with all internal and external stakeholders
Ensure suppliers are following the relevant project requirements.
Ensure suppliers are following all relevant employer, legal and regulatory requirements.
Ensure purchase orders are prepared and monitored in accordance with the Contract and Project Quality Management System requirements.
Provide co-ordination between the Financial and Commercial Departments and any other relevant departments on the project.
Prepare pre-qualification documents,
Prepare and manage the samples submittals.
You will be ambitious and enthusiastic with great communication skills and experience in a similar role.
