About the Role:
Hyperion Partners is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our valued client, a premier student accommodation provider, for a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Operative. This is a crucial role within the organization, ensuring that the accommodation facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the accommodation facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues promptly.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with the upkeep of communal areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and in good working order.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to minimize future repair needs.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repair work when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing their maintenance concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Support the team in other maintenance and operational tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably within residential or student accommodation settings.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in maintenance trades are advantageous.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach with a keen eye for detail.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required
