Meridian Business Support are delighted to be working with one of the UK's leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services to recruit for a Charge Nurse.
The hospital is a 20-bedded low secure mental health facility offering high quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services for males with complex mental health needs, serious mental illnesses including treatment-resistant presentations, and challenging behaviour.
We seek to work with individuals to stabilise their mental health and behaviours with the aim to maximise independence and promote reintegration into the community at the earliest opportunity.
The role of the charge nurse is to provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager and Hospital Director.
The successful candidate will:
have a degree of clinical and leadership experience that provides the expertise and confidence required to support the team
have clear roles and responsibilities as set out in the Role Profile. However must be able to respond quickly to change and the developing needs of the service
be responsible for deputising in the absence of the ward manager if necessary and therefore must demonstrate a willingness to develop and expand on their existing roles and responsibilities
be role models for their peers and demonstrate core priory values at all times therefore the expectations of this will need to be clearly set outKnowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities
Registered nurse with active NMC PIN with 2 years post qualifying experience
Relevant clinical experience
Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practise
