Our client Bendalls Engineering is currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join their team as a shop floor labourer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure cleanliness and organisation on the shop floor, as well as provide support to the production and maintenance teams as needed.
The shop floor labourer will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised environment on the shop floor. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

- 40 hours, Mon-Fri, 07:30-16:30 Mon-Thurs, 07:30-14:00 Fri
Salary
Key responsibilities

Clean and maintain shop floor areas, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.

Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.

Clean and sanitise work surfaces, machinery, and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

Assist with basic maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machinery, changing light bulbs, painting and minor repairs.

Support production and facility teams by transporting materials, tools, and finished products as needed.

Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling hazardous materials or operating machinery.

Notify the facilities coordinator of any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions.

Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.

Perform other duties as assigned by the production manager/facilities coordinator.
What you need for the role.

Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.

Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures for working in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
