Job Description:
As an Assistant Site Manager, you will be integral to the site-based team, providing leadership and support to ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are met. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Area Build Manager to achieve programme and quality requirements, promoting strong customer relationships within the team, including directly employed and sub-contracted staff.
This is a volume site with over 100 units in the current live phases, and the potential for 4 years further work on this site alone across the future planned phases.
Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Programme Management: Collaborate with the Project Manager and Area Build Manager to prepare, review, and revise the build programme in line with budget requirements.

Progress Monitoring: Track the build programme progress to ensure construction methods and timescales are met, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Resource Management: Oversee equipment, plant, staffing, and sub-contract requirements for the site.

Trade Coordination: Respond to and manage queries from trades, taking appropriate actions.

Employee Induction: Manage the induction process for new employees in line with company best practice guidelines.

Performance Monitoring: Assess and enhance the performance and effectiveness of direct reports.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Assistant Site Manager with a proven track record of motivating staff and managing a site effectively

Knowledge: Up-to-date with health and safety obligations and building legislation

Performance Record: Solid professional experience with medium to large housebuilder, with a strong H&S, NHBC and QA record
