Candidates who have previous experience procuring or purchasing castings at buyer or senior buyer level will be suitable for this position
Role's responsibilities of the Castings Buyer include:
Identifying, selecting and managing an international supply chain within the casting's commodity group
Analysing and negotiating proposed supplier prices
Conducting supplier assessments and audits to maintain a reliable supply chain
Reviewing and assessing MRP/ERP demands on a daily basis
Ensuring timely and cost-effective material availability
Placing or amending purchase orders in line with the authorisation procedures
Preparing for and attending regular departmental meetings representing the purchase team
Person Specification of the Castings Buyer
Previous experience in a procurement role purchasing castings or forges
Knowledge using SAP or similar ERP and MRP systems
Highly organised and able to handle multiple priorities
Excellent communication, presentation and strong negotiation skills
Driven and motivated individual with a desire to progress
Clean and full driving license, own vehicle and valid passport
