Commissioning Engineer
Contract – 12 months +
Bristol (Wessex Water region)
£(Apply online only) per day Outside IR35 + expenses + fuel
Purpose:
Commissioning and testing of mechanical and electrical equipment for the company's installed plants.
Providing training and post-commissioning support.
Responsibilities:
Planning and Preparation:
Develop commissioning plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
Write and compile O&M manuals, training materials, and commissioning records.
Commissioning and Testing:
Set, test, and commission mechanical and electrical equipment.
Test PLC and HMI software, reporting bugs for correction.
Compile and manage the snag list during commissioning.
Client and Team Interaction:
Liaise with Project Engineers and clients for planning and workload management.
Provide training sessions to client personnel.
Attend regular meetings with team members and clients.
Post-Commissioning Support:
Provide troubleshooting and support to ensure effective operation of installed systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in commissioning mechanical and electrical equipment in the water industry.
Electrical qualifications are advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Strong communication skills in English.
Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations.
Willingness to travel to UK sites and occasionally to Europe and the Middle East.
