Band 6 - £19.1 per hour – Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm - 37.5 hours per week.

About the Role:
As an Assistant Estates Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our hospital sites are maintained to the highest standards, compliant with statutory and NHS regulations. You will assist in the management of directly employed trade staff and contractors, acting as the Deputy Site Lead when required.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Leadership: Lead the maintenance team to achieve maximum productivity and flexibility.

Compliance Management: Ensure all statutory and mandatory requirements are met and maintained.

Asset Management: Keep asset registers, PPM records, and other relevant documentation up to date.

Technical Expertise: Serve as an Authorised Person (AP) for various systems including MGPS and HV/LV.

Project Support: Assist with capital and revenue projects, ensuring minimal impact on clinical services.

On-Call Duties: Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, providing expert advice and escalating issues as needed.

Essential criteria:

Experience of senior operational/manager in a relative field, preferably in Capital Projects.

Programme management experience of driving property and estate related programmes.

Management of multiple capital budgets and meeting specified targets across multiple projects.
Those with the following skills are at a distinct advantage:

Previous NHS/Healthcare and estate experience.

In-dept understanding of HTM and HBN in healthcare facility requirements.

Experience using / managing CAFM software
The successful candidate will also need:

Strong interpersonal, communication and reporting skills.

Ability to use a practical problem-solving approach in everyday situations.

Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to reprioritise own work and that of others to ensure tasks are delivered on time.

Experience in meeting & briefing of contractors & staff re operational arrangements.

Practical hands-on approach to all tasks to make it happen.
