We are currently recruiting for a MLC Electronics Test Operative to join our prestigious client in Lewes, within the Manufacturing / Engineering /Electronics field. This vacancy is ideal for someone who has worked within a manufacturing and production environment previously.
Hours:
- 40 hours per week (optional overtime available)
- Monday to Friday, 7.00/7.30am to 3.30/4.00pm (30 mins lunch-break)
- Full training will be provided
Objective:
Working from drawings and set test procedures to check both PCB and final assemblies for conformity in line with the set parameters using semi-automated and hand/bench test equipment ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks. Assembling and testing a range of products including Controllers, HTCs and TFTs.
Key Requirements:
To possess the necessary skills required to ensure accurate and timely completion of test tasks. The ability to work in a team as well as being self-motivated. The ability to adopt a flexible and positive approach to the work environment.
Required Skills:
• Attention to detail.
• Good hand skills and eyesight.
• Competence in hand assembly work.
• Experience in the handling of electronic assemblies (ESD, EOS, safe handling).
• Understanding of relevant procedures, standards, engineering and technical documentation.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience of using common test equipment.
• Preferred - Experience of soldering and rework of soldering related faults.
• Preferred - IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
• Basic Knowledge of electronic component types and polarities.
• Enthusiastic and able to use own initiative.
• Knowledge of company systems and policies.
• Flexibility where appropriate
• A thorough awareness of any safety issues.
• Computer literate.
