We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Copywriter to join IronmongeryDirect, the leading multi-channel Ironmongery supplier in the UK.
This position will be working to deliver first-class content across our sites. You will be working closely with the Digital Operations Manager and SEO team to create relevant content focused on both customer and search engine. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities across the site for content creation in line with the SEO strategy.
We are looking to recruit somebody who is passionate about the contribution they make, enjoys taking on a challenge, and can work as part of a team whilst also taking a key role in making decisions.
This is an incredibly exciting role that will play a pivotal part in the future growth of our digital business, with the opportunity to be involved in a variety of new and existing projects. You will be supported by a variety of stakeholders in order to make your position in the team a success.
About the Accountabilities
· Developing, planning and producing copy including, but not limited to:
· Press releases
· Blog posts
· PPC ads
· On-site content
· Following brand guidelines to ensure consistency throughout all communications, both on-site and off-site
· Creating website content oriented to both the customer and search engine
· Working with the SEO Manager on key projects by creating copy which follows SEO best practices, keyword research and ranking opportunities across the site
· Collaborating with other teams to create engaging, concise and practical descriptions for products on-site
· Staying up-to-date with latest industry trends and regulation changes to ensure we supply relevant information to our customers
· Working closely with our SEO agency as content moves from concept to execution
· Adapt, edit and proofread content created by our SEO agencies
About You
· Excellent understanding of the English language
· Understanding the importance of data and how it should assist when undertaking tasks
· Understanding of SEO and how to optimise content to target specific keywords
