Job Title: Help Desk Advisor - Facilities Management Services
Location: ST4
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Reports To: Facilities Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Help Desk Advisor to join our Facilities Management Services team in ST4. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-line support for facilities-related issues, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of problems. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Support:
Provide first-line support for facilities-related issues, including maintenance, repairs, and service requests.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues via phone, email, or in-person.
Log and track issues using the facilities management ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.
Customer Service:
Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
Communicate effectively with users to understand their issues and provide clear instructions for resolution.
Follow up with users to ensure satisfaction and proper issue resolution.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of support requests, solutions provided, and any necessary follow-up actions.
Prepare regular reports on common issues and resolutions to help improve overall facilities support processes.
System Maintenance:
Assist with routine maintenance and updates of facilities systems and equipment.
Support the setup and configuration of new facilities equipment as needed.
Monitor system performance and escalate issues to higher-level support when necessary.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other facilities team members to ensure cohesive and comprehensive support coverage.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of facilities services.Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or coursework in facilities management is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in a help desk or facilities support role preferred.
Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency with facilities management software and common office tools.
Familiarity with building systems and maintenance procedures.Requirements:
