We are recruiting for an Electrician to work for a College based in Central Cambridge. The role will work closely with the wider maintenance team and on occasions the successful candidate would be required to step into the Maintenance Manager role when he is out of the business.
The role is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week with occasional requirements outside of these hours.
Typical duties would be:

Assisting with running and upgrading of the college’s electric systems.

Liaising with electrical contractors for major works around the college.

Assisting with the daily and weekly inspections of plant rooms, checking for any faults or potential breakdowns.

Deputising for the Maintenance Manager where required.

Working as part of the on-call team providing cover for the wider team as and when required.
The successful candidate:
-
Fully qualified within Electrical Installation and Test and Inspection

Previous experience working within a maintenance team.

Good communication skills
-
Able to work as part of a team and lead when required.

A full UK driving licence
