PURCHASE LEDGER ADMINISTRATOR - WELL-ESTABLISHED RETAIL COMPANY - BASED NEAR FERNDOWN - TEMPORARY CONTRACT (6 - 9 MONTH CONTRACT) - £26,000 PER ANNUM - 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

We are assisting a well established retail company with their Head Office near Ferndown, who are looking to engage with a Purchase Ledger Administrator for a minimum 6-month contract to assist with the transition of data entry during a period of system transition.
Working within the Finance team and reporting to the Ledger Manager, you will be responsible for:

Creating Bacs and cheque payment runs, ensuring all payments are made in a timely manner

Support personnel across their venues, resolving any issues or discrepancies

Reconcile invoices, investigating and resolving any anomalies

Liaise with suppliers, ensuring that all paperwork is in order and any outstanding credit notes are received

Assist with other members of the team and help with the transition onto a new finance system
The company are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail and experience with purchase ledger processes. The role is primarily data administration, so you will ideally:

Have experience in a small finance team environment

Be accurate at entering information onto a computer system

Have good communication skills, both written and verbal
-
Be confident when dealing with other offices and customers
-
Be adaptable and helpful, assisting other colleagues when necessary
This role is an initial 6-month contract, however, would be likely to extend by an initial 3-months as the finance systems move across to a new provider and the implementation process is concluded. You will be employed directly by the company and not through our agency.
