Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Support Coordinator to join our recycling company. This position plays a crucial role in supporting various operational and administrative functions, ensuring efficient coordination and smooth execution of daily activities within our recycling operations.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the recycling operations team, including but not limited to scheduling meetings, preparing reports, managing correspondence, and maintaining accurate records.
Customer Relations: Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution of issues. Maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships.
Data Management: Manage data entry and maintenance of databases related to recycling activities, including collection volumes, processing outputs, and customer contracts. Generate reports and analyze data to support operational decision-making.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics for recycling collection, transportation, and processing activities. Ensure efficient scheduling of routes and adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards.
Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Communicate with recycling vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. Manage relationships to optimize service levels and cost-effectiveness.
Financial Administration: Assist with budget tracking, expense management, and invoicing processes related to recycling operations. Support financial reporting and analysis as needed.
Compliance and Regulatory Support: Stay informed about environmental regulations and industry standards applicable to recycling operations. Assist in maintaining compliance and preparing documentation for regulatory agencies.
Project Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects aimed at improving recycling processes, reducing waste, and implementing sustainability initiatives within the company.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a business support or administrative role, preferably within the recycling, waste management, or environmental services industry.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with database management systems.
Knowledge of recycling processes, waste management practices, and sustainability principles is advantageous.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving abilities
