Incomes Assistant
Location: Peterborough (Remote)
Salary: £26,022 (in probation) rising to £27, 392
Full time 37 hrs
Due to an internal promotion, we are looking to recruit an Incomes Assistant to join our Income Management Team. In this role you will provide administrative support to the Income Management Team - assisting in the collection of rent and service charge arrears, garage arrears, former tenant debt and other sundry debts to maximise income for Cross Keys Homes; providing a comprehensive and proactive customer focused income management service to CKH customers.

This role is home based with the requirement to attend Peterborough Head Office for meetings when required.
In this role you will be responsible for,

Providing administrative support to the Income Management Team in line with CKH policies and procedures.

Undertaking a range of duties including but not limited to Direct Debit administration, inbox administration, answering the telephone, monitoring and sending emails.

Assisting in the various arrears management processes using the QL based application system.

Uploading court applications via the PCOL (Possession Claims Online) system on behalf of the Income Management Team

Assisting in the monitoring of rent and other debtor accounts and taking appropriate and prompt action in accordance with policies and procedures.

Using the relevant management information systems to maintain individual customer accounts – including account creation; adjustment and deletion - ensuring compliance with data input requirements and accuracy; balance accounts; prepare statements and process / reconcile refunds of rent where credits are identified.

Administering Universal Credit claims via the portal, ensuring that the correct information is provided to the DWP, and notifications are added to the rent account.

Taking a pro-active approach in dealing with customers’ enquiries by providing a consistent and flexible service, managing their expectations and keeping them informed, agreeing practical action as appropriate to achieve satisfactory outcomes.

Setting agreements for the repayment of arrears, taking payments and setting up direct debits whilst complying with Cross Keys Homes’ policies and procedures.

Identifying, referring and sign posting vulnerable tenants to our Money Adviser or appropriate support providers.
We are looking for someone with,

Knowledge of using computer-based IT systems including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, outlook.

Experience of working in a financial environment.

Experience of using computer based financial management system.

Ability to meet set targets and to work to tight deadlines.

Sound numerical skills with the ability to make arithmetical calculations quickly and accurately.

Ability to effectively communicate in a patient, empathetic and tactful way by telephone, in person with customers, leaseholders and colleagues.

Ability to work as a team member and under own initiative and manage a heavy workload.

Ability to contribute to and maintain high quality service delivery by performing to set targets.
