An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding Finance Team to perform the dual role of credit control and cash control for the company and to ensure that best practice is adhered to on a continual basis.
This is a key role for the continued ongoing success of the business and the focus of the role is to convert sales into cash at the bank and monitor how the cash is being utilised within the company.
Summary of responsibilities:

Management of the aged debt ledger to ensure the following: New customers fully investigated prior to credit being given; Liaising with customers to ensure that they adhere to current payment terms; Allocating customer cash to the relevant accounts.

Reconciling the total debtors to the nominal ledger.

To monitor and advise the line management of potential bad debts and the need for any associated provision.

To prepare various reports which enable management to assess current and past customer behaviour and to recommend action upon delinquent accounts.

To provide advice on credit matters to develop the best accounting practice.

To process all manual cash receipts & payments into the current ERP system.

To liaise with corporate bankers on compliance matters.
-
To prepare update daily cash forecast with most recent balances across bank accounts and lending facilities, as well as known payments, to ensure we are compliant with our lending facilities terms.

Maintain relationship with credit rating agencies.

Monitor bad debt, advise on bad debt provisioning, and manage the dunning’s process.

Daily banking and other monthly cash journals as well as monthly cashflow forecasting.

Monitoring of cash position and drawdown against lending facility.

Other Ad Hoc tasks as required by line management.
