The Category Marketing Manager will sit within the food to go team, responsible for developing and implementing customer trade marketing plans for the portfolio of brands across channels including convenience, contract caterers and travel. You will act as a customer lead working closely with customers but crucially working alongside internal commercial and brand teams.
Customer Marketing Manager responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing annual customer marketing plans
- Working closely with commercial and marketing teams across the company's Brands portfolio & 3rd Party brands.
- Develop trade marketing campaigns in line with overall commercial and brand marketing objectives to drive sales.
- Responsibility of creating and distributing marketing materials including POS, direct mail & digital assets
- Communicate NPD launches to customers and support with marketing materials and work closely with the Brand Team to align with the wider brand launch plans.
- Responsible for developing an annual calendar of trade events in addition to planning, organising and rolling out of trade exhibitions.
- Take a proactive role in digital activity including a strategy for LinkedIn and supporting the team with our online order portal with relevant marketing materials.
- Develop a deep understanding of our customers and their consumers.
- Act as the connection and support between Commercial and Brand Teams for any instore shopper marketing requirements the brand team or our customers may want to implement.
- Support Head of Customer Marketing in with any wider marketing plans and asset creation.
- Maintain internal relationships across the business through strong and timely communication with all stakeholders, supporting the team where needed.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience of working in a similar role trade/customer marketing plans including strong commercial acumen
- An understanding/experience of some of the customer channels identified
- Solid project management skills and organization
- Commercially astute and influencing
- Have a passion for customer marketing
- Have the ability to build and maintain customer relationships
