About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sub Agent to join our team on the HS2 project in Twyford. As a Sub Agent, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of this high-profile infrastructure project, ensuring that all works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This is a freelance position with a minimum commitment of six months, operating inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Assist the Site Agent and Project Manager in the planning and execution of construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day site operations, including coordinating subcontractors and ensuring that work is carried out safely and efficiently.
Health & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on site, conducting regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Quality Control: Monitor construction work to ensure it meets quality standards, addressing any issues or non-conformances promptly.
Resource Management: Manage materials, equipment, and workforce on site, optimizing resources to meet project deadlines.
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on progress and resolve any issues that arise.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and risk assessments.
Problem-Solving: Address any technical or logistical challenges that arise during construction.
Requirements:
Black CSCS Card: Must have a valid Black CSCS card.
Experience: Proven experience as a Sub Agent or in a similar role on large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the rail or civil engineering sectors.
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, and health and safety regulations.
Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility: Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands.
