Overview
We are seeking a Senior Administrator to join our placement finding team on a fast-paced temporary contract. The core role is to find homes for children in care, including foster families, residential homes, or supported accommodation for older young people. This role involves working as part of a placement finding team and supporting the CO’s in the team.
Responsibilities
Review profiles for children needing care
Liaise with Social Workers and providers to make matches for a case load of children and young people
Complete record keeping and paperwork for each child
Manage emergency placement searches for same day home finding as part of a duty rota
Work alongside GCC’s inhouse fostering service
Handle confidential information about children, subject to an enhanced DBS check and a check of Local GCC records
Qualifications
Proven experience in administrative roles
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and understanding of child welfare and placement services is a plus
Day-to-Day
Work closely with the team through daily MS Teams calls and a lively MS Teams chat stream
Attend monthly team meetings and work in the office 1 to 2 days a week
Manage daily administrative tasks to support placement finding activities
