G Touring is the touring division of Bruce Poon Tip’s group of companies, which also include G Adventures and Tru Travels. Our mission is change lives through travel and we do that through our Cares programmes that runs alongside our not-for-profit partner, the Planeterra Foundation to ensure that the communities we visit benefit from tourism.
Commercial Analyst
Location: This role is based in Market Harborough.
Working Hours: Full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week 09:00 am-17:15 pm Monday to Friday with 45 minute lunch break.
Purpose of the role:
To design, develop and manage Business Intelligence. Ensure that all departments throughout the business have the required level of intelligent information and are using the information to maximise business opportunity and commercial performance. To work closely with our Looker (Data MI Tool) Guru to improve the data available to the business and that this data is understood and being used to maximise decision making to drive increased profit.
In this role you will:
Be responsible for working closely with the Looker Guru to ensure the creation, management, and distribution of KPI reports throughout the business with a focus on how they can be used to improved commercial performance.
Work with all teams in the business to enhance their interpretation of available data, identify additional information required and work with the relevant parties to ensure that this is delivered with a commercial focus.
Work with all areas of the business to improve current process, ensuring data becomes usable and at the heart of decision making.
Ensure that any reporting that goes out to the business meets the business needs and is accurate.
Identify reporting needs across all sales platforms within G Touring, Call Centre, Website and Trade Sales allowing us to make informed decisions to accelerate growth.
Work with senior management to develop and analyse reporting that can be used to identify opportunities to maximise sales and overall profit. (bonus schemes, commissions, overrides, etc).
Train and be a part of the development of employees across the business on how to handle big data and how best to use this data to support the functioning and decision making of the department.
Reconcile data across multiple platforms.
Support marketing automation, being able to manipulate and provide lists of relevant customers that can be used in campaigns.
Work with marketing to identify passenger travel trends enabling greater targeting and increasing marketing return on investment.
To be successful you will:
Have a strong analytical mind to come up with a best solution.
Be commercially minded with experience of working within a similar role and having the ability to plan, organise and prioritise your workload.
Be confident presenting findings at all levels of the business and adapting reports that make sense to all end users.
Have advanced level Excel skills.
Be able to work of your own initiative and be the driving force delivering improvements.
Be a strong business partner.
Possess significant data analytics experience and qualifications a preference.
