PROCUREMENT CATEGORY SPECIALIST

Job Summary:
We are currently representing an exciting senior procurement opportunity on behalf of our client based in the East Yorkshire region.
- This role will ensure cost effective and efficient sourcing and procurement of materials and services across categories by leveraging group purchasing power and employing leading procurement practices.
Main Duties:

Develop and implement category strategies.

Lead the business in identification, assessment and management of potential risks associated with differing sourcing and contract management strategies for assigned categories of spend.

Ensure category strategies deliver high levels of transactional efficiency and support P2P targets.

Review and update contracts, including service level agreements and key performance indicators.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance covered by category strategies.
Person Specification:

Knowledge and experience of delivering procurement projects across a range of spend categories.

Experience with contract negotiation, contract performance strategy and supplier relationship strategy.
